WE NEED TO FOCUS ON THE EDUCATION ISSUES THAT MATTER MOST

OFFERING ALL STUDENTS A WORLD CLASS EDUCATION

Years ago, I made a purposeful decision to pursue a career in public service. As an educator, community advocate, and Deputy Chief of Staff for education, I have dedicated myself to the preservation, uplift, and promotion of public education. Running for PUSD School Board is a natural extension of my work to build strong communities with schools as the core of that strength.

Pasadena has been my lifelong home. I was a student at Burbank and Allendale Elementary before moving on to Eliot Middle and John Muir High Schools. Pasadena public schools were foundational to my ability to matriculate to UC Berkeley, and subsequently earn a Master in Public Administration. I know first-hand the transformative power of a quality public education and I want PUSD to continue to deliver on that promise. To accomplish this, we must focus on the 3 pillars that build strong communities: STABILITY, SERVICE AND SAFETY.

Student Achievement (Stability)

  • Prepare for new universal preschool seats

  • Expand dual enrollment participation

  • Deliver quality special education instruction

Infrastructure Improvements (Safety)

  • Utilize Measure O funds responsibly

  • Study workforce housing opportunities

Community Engagement (Service)

  • Stronger advocacy in Sacramento

  • Increase community partnerships

  • Meaningful parent engagement
